This is a big game on a tiny screen. Everything you’d expect from the consoles is packed in here. There are multiple modes and mini-games, ridiculous events at hyper speed, and the delight of discovering each fighter’s unique powers. Watching Olmer pull up fighting Pikmen or Mario deflect shots with his cape is gleefully rewarding. But on a tiny screen the action is harder to follow. There’s no party without friends owning the game and so you’re just practice-smashing and being nostalgic, alone. That makes it a small game after all.
