MIT Grad Cindy Kao has come up with a tiny trackpad that fits over the fingernail on your thumb.

Like the trackpad on your laptop, you can use it to control the cursor on your computer or swipe it to control apps on your smartphone. Cindy says it will be very useful during cooking when your hands might be busy to scroll through recipes on a computer or as a fashion accessory to control necklaces and other wearable tech on the sly.

Maddy Maxey and Mari Kussman who have created their own New York-based design studio called The Crated. Their current project is called Photochromia,  a line of shirts, hats, and bags with patterns that change when exposed to sunlight thanks to the use of UV-sensitive dye. Launched as a Kickstarter, the duo have happily met their goal since we first aired this episode.
