Launching June 23rd, Ultimate Dinosaurs will bring 17 full-scale dinosaur skeleton casts and a collection of fossils that explore the remarkable change in evolution that happened when the planet’s large land mass divided and drifted into separate parts of the world, setting the stage for a new series of strange and remarkable reptiles.
To help visitors visualize how the bones would look and move when they were alive, the Royal Ontario Museum partnered with Toronto’s Meld Media to create a series of Augmented Reality apps. In my weekly Gearing Up report for Studio 12 News, I visit the company’s offices weeks in advance of the launch to see how the new technology will work.
You can download the app from the iTunes Store here.
