Thankfully this is not just a tie-in to the upcoming movie, but a fan-pleasing cartoonish brawler filled with the comic book’s many characters and snappy dialogue. Yes, all you do is fight waves of villains with simple swipes, over and over, just to unlock countless upgrades, but it’s fun and you do end up with a digital comic book out of it. Sure, I wish there was more depth and exploration, but I’ll take it as candy. It’s glossy, slick and sugary, and there’s a whole big bag of it.
