Here’s my Metro News reviews for the week of January 20th
The Robert Evans Collection
By Robert Evans
Four Stars
No one enjoys telling self-aggrandizing Hollywood stories more than Bob Evans. Does he narrate his own books? Sure. Goes off-script? You bet. His often-mimicked humble brag tone is an unintentional delight and because he was head of Paramount during The Godfather, delivers good stuff. Deluded? Yes, but slickly presented, real slick with video, audio, and scanned memorabilia. Not bad, Evans.

Aveline de Grandpré is a Lady Assassin of mixed parents living during the New Orleans slave trade of 1765. She wears a dress and carries a poison parasol when she wants to be seen and leaps across rooftops in a tunic and arm blade when she does not. A bullwhip and a third disguise help her rescue slaves, but only as background activity to very confusing conspiracies. Glitches make it a difficult game to finish, wasting away much of the creativity that otherwise makes Aveline a thrilling heroine to play.
